I heard that one in the news first thing this morning. They said the sub is the size of a minivan and carries 4+ of the captain.

Now it will take another 100 years to find this one. No optimism here; those ****ers are dead. I hope their families demand the $50,000 per ticket back.

It was $250K for that millionaire on board to dive down to the wreck, they didn't tell him its another $250K to get back to the surface; he better sell some crypto...

Water pressure, a malfunction, perhaps an idiot lit a cigarette, the pilot died, or a giant animal down there. That thing is 4 miles below the surface.

Doesnt take long to die at depth.. In rush of water and you die of over pressure.. If you survive that, you will drown.. Thats the nice way of putting it.

there's a massive rescue effort being taken.
Who is paying for that ?

one of the occupants is Hamish Harding. He is very active.

On 9-11 July 2019, Harding together with a crew of eight astronauts and aviators broke the world speed record for the fastest circumnavigation via both poles in a Gulfstream G650ER jet.

Harding flew to space onboard New Shepard, as part of the Blue Origin NS-21 mission, on 4 June 2022. Harding was one of six astronauts to go to space on Blue Origin’s 5th human spaceflight aboard the New Shepard rocket.

I read 96 hours but at 13,000 feet if the worst happened it imploded like Stacey Abrams sitting on a whoopi cushion.

They want taxpayers to pay to find the submersible now.

They were using a video game controller to pilot the thing. Probably the batteries went dead. Not sure what size batteries they use but I do know the people who use them for gaming keep a hefty supply of fresh batteries on hand. Maybe these guys weren't gamers?

There are two billionaires on the sub.

The military should make their power of attorney sign documents saying all search efforts are billable to the estates.

Strange that they'd involve themselves with such an operation when they could have afforded to fund their own expedition. In the image I saw of the launch vessel it appeared to be a rust bucket. Why anyone would think riding that thing out into the ocean was safe boggles the mind. I'd have taken one look at that and noped out hard.
