The competing dealership believes that I am worth more to them. I've known these guys for years. They know my product knowledge and performance level. The Dalton dealership tried to hire me five or six years ago, but I didn't want the 45 minute drive.
I've talked to guys in other dealerships in the area and they are in the mid 30's and up range. My current employer is just cheap! The other guy in parts that works with me makes about 25k. Our driver is in the 20/25k range.
I see the budget and sales reports. My boss is in the mid 60k range.
