No court should be prosecuting Trump for complaining about a rigged election, but here we are. If we can charge Trump 91 times and steal a half a BILLION dollars of his money for not doing anything wrong, then why NOT take your car for a tail light out. Do you support Trump? Yes? Was your tail light out? Yes? Great. It's OUR car now. See how this works?

As a Libertarian, why do you think the government should take care of, or be responsible for these people? Individual freedoms and less government would dictate otherwise.

Do you feel our economy can withstand this endless stream of border crossers?
What would the Libertarian you, think is an economically feasible, non-government involved solution?

I can recognize how Covid camps were not far away on the path we were on, but illness and one's choice in treatment/prevention, and actual law-breaking and invasion are not comparable in my opinion.

Sending them back is not feasible UNTIL and UNLESS there are physical and legal deterrents to prevent a constant cycle of round trip tickets to invade. The solution needs to be very serious and a "one and done" type of fix. That requires radically different behaviors on the part of the government or the citizens that encounter these people on their property.

You are stretching the hypothetical rubber band very far here. Could this be our future? Yes, but I think there are still plenty of people in positions of power, or communication that are not Donald Trump, that will stay on the right side of this type of possibility.

There are still Jim Jordans, and Tucker Carlsons, and Mark Levins, and trickling down to the Kid Rock, Ted Nugent, Joe Rogans, that will still have a lot to say.

We are not yet at the one man facing a tank in Tiananmen Square stage. There is still plenty of road ahead before that day comes.

I agree with that. And Texas finally passed a state law against illegal entry into Texas by illegals. As I read it, the punishment is up to 6 months in jail, not having your property taken from you. If we wanted to just take people's shit, then we should have codified that into the law. If you're an illegal and caught driving your car, you'll have the car taken from you. But that's not part of the law.

We can seize their cars if we catch them driving while illegal, which is what you were actually promoting. Seize the cars, remember? So they DO have something to take. Do they have cash in their wallets? Take that, too. Call it a fee to help defray the costs of shipping them back where they came from, as well as the costs to jail them until they go. And if the cars had liens on them, well, maybe the lenders/tote the note lots, etc., won't loan money to illegals for cars, because they lose their money, too.

I'm not entirely sure I'd go with that argument, but I'd consider it as long as it pertains to illegal aliens only. The concern is obviously the slippery slope. Take their cars, then take street racing cars, then take....whatever comes after that.

There are a few steps in this that are missing.

They walked across the border with a bag of clothes. How do they have a car? Or a license? Or insurance?

As I said in my other post, our rights as citizens are ours.

They have no such rights nor should they receive them. Their only consideration is the ability to stay on the other side of the border. Anything after that and I DGAS if wolves rip the flesh from their bones while they scream in pure agony. Zero fks given. It makes no difference if they are Mexican, Chinese, Black, or White.
