Default Was in a horrible boating accident yesterday. Damn near lost Das Boat
Got caught in a white-out near the Buckman bridge here in Jacksonville, FL when a sudden storm opened up a can of whoop ass on me. Usually the river is calmer on the southern side of the bridge (it runs east-west), but the sudden downpour, wind, and loss of visibility beyond the bow of the boat got me as I was trying to rush back to the ramp. I took a few huge waves over the starboard side and damn near swamped it, but I did have the bilge pumps going. Thank God I was smart enough to install dual 1500 gal/hr bilge pumps.

I was able to save the boat with very little damage, a couple of piss stains, and a loss of one pair of boxer shorts that can never be cleaned.

What really gets me is I lost some equipment overboard that I had just purchased, too ****ing bad weather

R.I.P. bullpup. We hardly knew you. Gone too soon.

Rest in power. That bullpup never got to speak truth to power, or speak it's truth. More importantly, it was just tryna turn its life around, and I think it was going to go to college as well. We will always remember.

Will you be having a multi state funeral tour for it?

A similar thing happened to me a few years ago. I was taking all my guns across the river to show them to a friend that lived on the other side. All the guns and my Batman lunch box went over the side. The guns all sunk but I was able to save the lunch box.

This is what happens when people don't check the weather prior to aquatic excursions with their legally purchased paraphernalia. I lost so many items due to this exact thing. It's so easy to just jump in your boat at 4:00 AM without checking that darn weather report. And I don't even have a boat, but I've still experienced this same thing.
