Hypocrites.

All these people who say they want to serve others. Not one has ever said they will shovel out the rest of my barn stalls full of old hay and horse poo so I can use the space as part of my shop.

Yeah, I have trouble finding stall muckers too.

Hopefully I'll be pulling the trigger on some acreage soon. I hope to put up a pole barn that will also serve as a shop. That's one of the reasons I pay close attention to your projects. Seems like a great way to retire.

if they catch the thief, and he is convicted, i have a suggestion for the judge: instead of sitting on his ass in jail, at my expense, he can come out and do some work at the property, that i will direct, and he will pay for needed gravel, and do the work until i am satisfied. 12 hour days, 20 min for lunch, no breaks. a few weeks of that might change his attitude toward life. i'll supervise.

Make sure he does a good job. Keep him at it long enough for him to gain a sense of pride over his work. Set him up some goals and and let him achieve them through pain, sweat and time. When he's done, allow him time to review a his work and a job well done.

Then abruptly give him the boot, and never allow him to see his work again, maybe even going so far as to make him watch as you destroy one of his achievements.
Then tell him; "THAT'S what it's like you sack of shit."

...just a thought.

Mucking stalls was the first thing I learned how to do.
