The floor jack style are not stable enough IMO for a super nice car and amateurs.
The other style may be available to rent however i doubt it. I add padding all over(thick pipe insulation) to avoid any metal to paint contacts. |

The doors shouldn't weight too much with everything removed? As mentioned, see if you can stick some tape to it...but, be careful with it...paint is VERY thin on the edges and super tacky tape might lift the paint

This is all from my mind's eye, which is not the best. I'll give a good look at the mounting tomorrow when I look for those splash guards, and might reverse myself completely after that. |

I was able to do my C2 doors with all hardware alone. But, probably wasn't a good idea and a big risk to the paint. |

Good news, the shop found the missing Al knock convertible top, the missing front shock and the spark plug cover.

You should also look for the 'shims' for the doors. Probably not expensive to replace, but he might have made notes on how many and location.
Original gas tank? There is a very important 'tank sticker' glued to the top of it. All the details about your cars factory options, etc... If it has any old gas in it. You really need to get it all out before rust destroys the tank. There should be a few additional chrome pieces for the ignition shielding. The pieces that go over the plugs. |

Our awesome neighbors brought over a ton of tables. This should help with laying out the small bits.
Will need to clean out the garage better. It’s a mess right now. Been to darn hot to spend much time clearing out the kiddy stuff. |

Didn’t ‘68 BB just have braided wires? c2’s SB had full cover but I’m not sure of ‘68. One I’m familiar with have Dist cover and braided shields on SP wires… |

This is what I was thinking for protecting the rear edge of the fenders when you put the doors on. It is just a piece I found laying around in the garage, I would try to find a smaller diameter. I would put the sticky side on the inside.
