Not odd actually, makes perfect sense.

We test every patient for influenza and COVID. I can assure you the influenza numbers have been in the tank. I hope it stays that way!

COVID mitigation efforts have crushed the flu. Dumbasses are actually washing their hands and following protocols they should have PRE pandemic times. Wearing a mask of course as well as social distancing makes a difference too. We usually see a major spike in influenza after Thanksgiving (travel etc.) Hoping that is not the case with COVID since we are already spiking.

Excerpt from a study since you folks hate to read:

"In the United States, influenza virus circulation declined sharply within 2 weeks of the COVID-19 emergency declaration and widespread implementation of community mitigation measures, including school closures, social distancing, and mask wearing, although the exact timing varied by location (2). The decline in influenza virus circulation observed in the United States also occurred in other Northern Hemisphere countries (3,4) and the tropics (5,6), and the Southern Hemisphere temperate climates have had virtually no influenza circulation. If you feel very confident you all got it from each other, and that the strain is the same, I would not stay isolated from each other. The only concern would be if you feel they could have gotten it elsewhere (unlikely) and they have a milder strain than you do.

6 month lockdowns, mandatory masks and stupid "social distancing" will be the norm now during every annual flu season.

If people quit driving over 5 mph we'd save 40,000 lives every year. Government should mandate that.
