Hurricane Sandy

So Hurricane Sandy is making it's way to the East Coast this weekend, and they are projecting it to be a bad storm (i.e Hurricane Irene) - getting the house prepped and hopefully getting a generator this weekend. One thing came up talking about the effect the storm will have if it hits as they are projected - Power outages and some can be massive.

MidAtlantic and Northeast can have areas of power outages for 1-2 weeks when they get hit, and with the election the following week, there is speculation of low voter turnout due to power outages

going to be interested - of course the majority of the states here down offer early voting, hopefully that will change in the next year to allow it.

Not that anybody on the northeast coast gives a damn but Sandy is gonna play havoc at the Florida/Georgia game. I hate it but I may miss our annual tailgate party at the stadium.

Even my mom is watching the weather closely from Michigan. Looks like they may get some significant rain and/or snow, depending on the path of the storm.
