Back in 2011 one of the ABC liquor stores had a promotion for a new moonshine made by a company owned by Junior Johnson (Midnight Moon). They arranged to have Junior come in for a couple hours to personally autograph any bottle of Midnight Moon you purchased. I took the day off from work and drove up to a small town not far from Talladega where this ABC store was located. I was there when the store opened and being a weekday there weren't a lot of people there. I filled a cart with all the different types & styles of moonshine that were available and proceeded with my cart full of hooch to the signing table where Junior was sitting. We made a bit of small talk as he signed everything I had bought. He was gruff, but polite. It was a pretty humbling experience to say the least to be able to interact with one of the original legends of NASCAR. Here are a few pictures I took that day. I still have most all of the bottles & jars he autographed for me. Some of the bottles of straight up moonshine I gave away as gifts over the past couple years, but I still have 6 unopened jars of his fruit infused hooch and a single unopened bottle of the straight up stuff.

Junior came out alright
