Power/Genset failures......

Wife a bit concerned about power outages, as a few years ago we went for about 5 daze with no electric, lost a freezer and fridge full of food, someone paid us 600 bux to replace all the food......fair enough.....

SO long about mid December we get some computer addy for a Genset, 2200 watts shows Honda in the pix of it......but obviously from CHINA, given the price of only 70 bux........never got it......filed a claim through PPAL and of course they get back last night.....supposedly delivered by UPS on the 24th of December at NOON.....we home all day......no package......asked for a pix of the genset on our front porch....I suppose someone stole it.....

Went to UPS site myself, not follow any links, looked it all up.....showed delivery done great.....NOW WHAT???

So you have a missing package not a power/gen issue.

Seriously that time of the year they use so many temp drivers it could have been delivered anywhere, half of mine went elsewhere this past Christmas when either UPS or Fedex delivered.
Sign up for ups/fedex delivery notices so you know when yo expect the package. Within a few minutes you'll be notified was delivered so porch thieves don't have time to steal.
Second check with neighbors as some people are assholes and will keep stuff unless you go ask.
Lastly go file police report for theft and if PayPal won't refund you're out the money.

Around here, at least, the USPS can find the GPS coordinates of where something was actually scanned as delivered, regardless of what the carrier said/did. We've had that done twice & it worked well. I have no idea whether UPS has any similar capability, but it might be worth asking.

EDIT: I'll add that using Paypal may not have been your best option.

Yes I've had to have usps verify location of many a package at my friends house. Sucks when th ey mark it delivered when throw on truck at the office.
Ups and FedEx most likely have same tech.

Most generators got a carb, need to retrofit it with Fuel Injection somehow? With the dizzy on top.

You are lucky - that generator probably has so much harmonic distortion that it would kill anything you plugged in to it.


Count this as a stupid tax & move along. Go buy a real one (doesn't have to be Honda, but they are really good)
