CF P&C Ban Camp!

Well, being a new TVB member, it's refreshing to see I wasn't the only one who has had to deal with the tyranny of CF's PRC "new" mods as I was banned several times, then most recently, permanently banned.

I am a 20 year member on that site and very rarely had an issue with any mods. Grumpy would occasionally give me a warning and I, for the most part agreed, acknowledge my sin and life went on.

Then it all changed for me less than two years ago when a certain new mod (you can guess who) came on the scene. Someone who before this, would go round and round with me over his pro BLM style ideology and my more conservative ideology. Within a month of his newfound power, I was suddenly getting warnings, then 1 day bans, then two day bans, a week. a month. then the ultimate perma-ban. I found it ironic that a couple of other new modes eventually jumped on the scrutiny band wagon and I could not literally post more than a few posts without getting called out for rule infractions... even for rules that did not exist (according tot the posted rules).

I was invited back (via email) a few months ago, under limited circumstances. So now even though I'm un-banned, I am limited. When I tried to engage again, I was threatened, so I left it at that and pretty much put that place on a back burner. It's still a good source for Corvette related stuff, but the PRC section has quelled robust discussions. There seems to be a promotion of left of center posts... even though most on there are still on the right and I suspect the fear of retribution keeps many muted.

Anyways, it's nice to find an alternative that is Corvette-centric and lets adults talk...well, like adults. It's also nice to see several familiar names here who have obviously had to deal with the same scrutiny I did.

Yeah, like I said, everything was kosher for over 18 years and then "you know" who got his Junior Mod merit badge and the shit hit my fan. When I called him out for his obvious targeting, he denied it of course and eventually got a couple of other junior mods to hit me on a nearly weekly... sometimes daily basis. They would literally tag team me at times. But hey, there was no concerted effort to build up a points/ban score.... Riiiight

Even though I am back on, I have little respect for many on the PRC mod team there and I'm fine without dealing with their obvious bias and often unwarranted scrutiny.

This used to be a quasi-annoyance, but they have chosen to escalate it to full Biden level ignorance. I will tell you I "usually" know what the issue is or was. This time, I have ZERO clue what this is about. It seems it is simply the pre-holiday flush that has been experienced before. The mods want time off so they ban a shit ton of people to keep things quiet over the holidays. **** them all in the ass with a cactus.

Notice there is no specific infraction. A generic determination made with no recent events. Just turned off my account to remove any chance I'd speak a truth or share an opinion.

I am.
However, I'm one of those people who doesn't do "bullshit" or "unfair" very well. Yeah yeah, I know LIFE is unfair...but that's not what I mean. I mean the unbalanced type of unfair that place has. I wouldn't, in the least, be pissed about it if it were not for the fact that I recall when it WASN'T that way. That allows me to be pissed at the changes and the "wokeness". It's like the BLM sent them a threatening letter or something.

The biggest load of bullshit is the fact that 10 different people can post the EXACT same sentence and there's a good chance 2 will get a vacation and 1 will have their post pulled down...while 7 skate on through.

This reminds me of a post I saw a few weeks ago after I got unbanned for life. A thread had a member basically call another member an "idiot" or something to the effect of: "0nly an idiot would post that." Then a few posts down, Grumpy (mod) made light of it and then jcharity (newish mod) laughed at it (I believe with a . No one was banned for the insult and the mods I saw chime in thought it was apparently AOK.

If that had been me, a warning then another mod would take some points away and a ban would probably follow after the "wave" reviewed it.

Now being from "the way it used to be", you could make snide, funny comments and others would laugh, or "agree" and it the normal give and take. After the C-Dog earned his Barney Fife honorary position it all changed for me. I don't know how many points and warnings I "acquired" for just trying to be funny with a smart ass remark and instead of being accepted in the spirit it was posted, it was presumed I was directing an ad hominem attack and punishable by a "time out" I was no angel, but it got ****in' ridiculous after a while.
