C-2 corvette on fire
This C-2 was at our cars and coffee Saturday morning in Tulare Calif. It was the first time we had seen it ! By the sound off it, it had a lot of HP! What a shame for the old fella !

If those are "trunk irons" running down the back its a 58 and a C1. Lost of causes for that - chiefly original, lightly fused wiring. They had "full flow" ammeters in the dash with up to 30 unfused amps running to them directly from the battery - I always advise owners to put in a 30 amp blade type fuse behind the dash in line with the black wire coming from the battery.
Secondly is fuel, I had a fire IN MY GARAGE on my dual quad 61 and was lucky to put it out. I learned my lesson with powder based extinguishers and it took a weekend to clean the mess up, only Halon or Halitron or an Element 50 now |
