Not snarky, just having a questioning attitude and want to run it to ground.

Those are your words, not mine.

I don’t pretend to be an SME.

I also am not sure why you think I’m trying to put the best person in the White House nor why I think that’s even the best idea.

The reason you want a strong leader in Office is so we as a country have a Strong leader in Office. Other countrys see the weakness in Joe, they did not see it in Trump.
When he spoke others listened. When Joe speaks they laugh.
Running the country requires a strong business acumen. Joe has ZERO. Trump is well known and proven, whether you like his Crass NY mouth or not.
Weak Leaders make our country look weak and vulnerable.
We should all want our CIC/POTUS too look and be thought of as a strong person, to ward off other countrys taking advantage of us..

We could all go back to the time when 90% of this country farmed. Oh never mind, cant buy land cheap anymore either.
This!

Belive it or not there are still a number of locations farmable land is relatively cheap when measured against your return. There is also a number of local, state and federal programs avail for financial assistance for small farm operations, distribution, co-ops etc for those needing help getting started.

Small hobby farm/orchard on a couple acres will easily feed a family with plenty left over. We don't harvest wheat (flour) as it requires a ton of acreage and is avail directly from near-by mill. Most small towns have a weekly farmers market which makes buying/selling and trading/bartering another avail resource.

A small chicken coupe w run, some raised beds and a coral w a couple acres of fenced pasture for grazing isn't difficult to build and materials are cheap and easy to aquire here.
My nephew and I built a couple of these for family over the last few years.

Here, there is plentiful deer, elk, turkey, pheasant, duck and goose on surrounding land for additional meat source in addition to the cows/chickens we raise. The king (chinook) salmon and steelhead/trout are massive and abundant in nearby rivers, creaks and the Dworshak. Our entire county is aprox 7,000 residents (and surrounding counties even MORE sparcely populated) which provides an abundance with zero crowding of territory.

In summer when mountain passes clear, my brother(s) and I can ride dual-sports on trails for 100's of miles and never see another vehicle other than the occasiinal ranger parked at a rural station on main forest roads.

There will come a time, likely in our lifetime, where the suburbs will be overrun with the feral animals that currently control the streets of most cities. Most near city suburbs and subdivisions are full of millions of people who are not equipped to stop it.

The real war begins when these feral rats decide to migrate to the country. There they will be met with strong force and firepower, the likes that they have never seen or anticipated.

Cities always crumble. Always. But God’s green countryside, mountains, valleys, hills and trees and meadows will never crumble of mans doing.
And this!

Amen!
Fortunately we have family that convinced us to start transitioning to rural farm/ranch country a number of years back. The riots, crumbling cities w massive crime and drug-zombie homeless, and then the plan-demic accelerated our departure away from the gullible (dangerous) masses.
The tp/paper shortage should have been wake-up call to many how easily shortages can occur and the unfortunate reality and stupidity of an irrational, weak populace.

We may perish from old age, disease, radioactive fall-out or some other bizarre circumstance beyond the avg citizens control. But suffering from food shortages ie starvation or violent crime is not something I'd ever risk putting loved ones thru due to lack of planning and foresight.

Because there is truely a CHIT-TON of stupid gullible people in society unfortunately. The overwhelming majority are crowded together in human beehives aka large cities aka ghettos. A lengthy supply chain interruption of essentials will create endless entertainment for those observing in the mountains above, while enjoying a good cigar watching it all burn...down bellow.
