October 10 - Locust Grove UMC Car & Craft Show (rain date of Oct. 17). Show is in Mathews County on Rt. 3 at 1832 Windsor Road, Dutton, VA, 23050. 200 vehicles attended show in May. Fantastic Food - breakfast and lunch - served by the church. Pre-registered $15 + 2 cans of food, day of show-$20 + 2 cans of food, additional vehicles $5 each + 2 cans of food, cars for sale-$15 + 2 cans of food, auto vendors-$25 + 2 cans of food, crafters $20 + 2 cans of food (size - 15'w x 15' long). October 10 - The 12th Annual Chesterfield Technical Center Car Show to be held on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at the Tractor Supply Company on Lake Harbour Drive across from Winterpock Road on Hull Street. All types of cars, including classic cars, street rods, muscle cars, 4 x 4's and mini trucks will be on display. Car clubs and individuals from around the state will be participating. Cars will be setting up from 9 AM until 11 AM. The event will be open to the public from 10:00 AM to 4 PM, with awards announced at 4:00 PM. There will be more space for cars this year than ever! Special Trophy Categories include Sponsor's Choice, People's Choice, Best in Show, Best Interior, Best Paint, Best Engine and Best Crafts Display. There will be a DJ and door prizes for the participants. The CTC Culinary Arts and Baking and Pastry Arts Classes will have a sale and a raffle will be held to benefit the student organization. Pre-registration fee is $15 before Oct 7th; entry fee on the day of the event is $20. Venders may rent space. Please make all checks payable to CTC. All proceeds will go to benefit the student organization, SkillsUSA, which provides opportunities for leadership, community service and skills competition on district, state and national levels. In case of inclement weather, please call CTC at 768-6160, or Tractor Supply at 639-0027. Rain date is Oct. 11 at the same location. October 10 - The Peninsula Mustang Enthusiasts' and Wynne Ford are proud to team up to bring to you the Third Annual Mid-Atlantic Mustang Round-Up on 10/10/2009. This is a MUSTANG only show held at the Wynne Ford dealership at 1020 West Mercury Blvd., Hampton, Va. 23666. This is a fund raising event for CHKD. Over the past 3 years PME has raised over $21,000 for CHKD through events like this.
