OK then, you've alluded to a particular thought, several times. What, exactly, are you hinting at?

Personally, I believe publishing names/addresses of citizens who may LEGALLY own firearms is information that is uneccesary. In some areas, it is already available as public record.

Perhaps it would be better for people to mind their OWN affairs, and be less concerned with the affairs of others.

BTW, locally, if such information were to be published, it could be done with a single word...

NOTICE: Firearms records are exempted from the public records statute. G.L c.4,§7 (clause twenty-six)(j). FRB may not disseminate firearms records "to any person, firm, corporation, entity or agency except criminal justice agencies as defined in chapter six and except to the extent such information relates solely to the person making the request and is necessary to the official interests of the entity making the request." G.L. c. 66, § 10(d).

A newspaper outed Nevada CCW permit holders using public record a while back. The law was changed subsequent to that and now the records are confidential.
