I was with the wife at the doctor's office in Cityview and we had LOADS of rain and light hail but the Arlington/Mansfield stuff was just west of us when it went through Rendon and Crowley.

We were on the west side of the storm and saw nothing but the rain wrap - no funnels.

Our school was on lockdown and the elementary students had to do the duck-n-cover thing, but no damage in our area. I find it amazing that the only reported injuries in the entire DFW area are minor.

Watching the local news and some of the damage is impressive. Sounds like it took out a couple of schools in Forney.

It will be amazing if nobody winds up dead.

Looking at this it appears to be about an F2-F3 for most of the touchdowns. 5-6 separate tornadoes across the entire 10 county metro area.

Its a mess in some areas, but this was a popcorn fart compared to what happened in Joplin.

Thankfully, there was almost no hail. Friends toward the west (Coppell) had quarter and golf ball sized hail.

So glad no tornado touched down here, and sad for the folks it did hit in the area.
