Next Step....
Well I sold my D1SC kit today. Just waiting for the E-Check to clear before I send it off. And well I have decided with the cash I will have from it I plan on going with-
Cam kit from VA Speed. Marios- 243 heads Ported. Underdrive pulley Ed tuned. So shooting for over 400rwhp thats my goal. That will prolly be all for now until I want more then I guess 100 shot

Yeah, and I'm done modding...
After this weekend anyways. I'm replacing the BA component speakers in the door with some JL C5 650's and replacing the blown JL 10w3 sub. I guess I'll install the shift light at the same time. But after that, no more mods... |

Those are mods but stylistic accessories. haha. And well not sure what else you would need with a motor like that.

You can make way more than that w/ ported 243s. My Z06 makes 436 rwhp w/ a G5-X2 cam and stock 243 heads.

Well Brian, I am not a Zo6 so I am keeping my Expectations low so if it goes higher I will be amazed. But good point nonetheless

Met up with Mario at VA speed this morning. Talked to Shawn and Ed. Soon as my E-Check clears, $3700 bucks For H/C swap and all. ALSO I didnt even know this. but My car already has an LS6 Intake. Shows how much I know about car parts.. So if anyone need an LS6 intake let me know $280

Once the heads and cam are changed, it doesn't much matter if the engine started life as a LS6 or LS1, as the heads and cam are the primary differences between the C5 and Z06 engines.
Only subtle differences will remain. (MAF and fuel system come to mind). So in theory, applying the same mods to either, should produce about the same dyno results. I would not be surprised to see you top Brian's hp #, but if I predict correctly, it will probably be done via better heads and a more docile cam than Brians. |

but before any more power I would look into upgrading said rear and tranny, those are going to be the weakest links.

Tom hit on it.... once you put 243s on the car and change the cam and put a LS6 intake on the car it doesn't matter what the shortblock is.

Put a BIG GIANT nasty cam in it so you'll end up hating the car.
Sorry, I forgot this wasn't CF... |
