After checking for vacuum leaks, lubricate the pivot assemblies for the lamps.

/\ Before checking the hoses, I hit up both spring assemblies with WD40, and Lithium spray.

Slight improvement of opening speed (less than 1 minute for both to fully open, was ~2 minutes for the left unit before lubing).
Once I get the car back from paint, I'll be replacing both actuators and relays.

The base has an angled 2" drop from the flange base, so it may only be as high as the current filter.
I could also change to a 2" filament height if needed.

You should really take the out of the vacuum hose going to your brake booster. This should be a dedicated line. Then put your headlight vacuum hose on it's own vac source.
You see the little round component on the head light side of your vac tubes, that is a check valve. You should also have a filter before the check valve between it and the manifold. It's letter "F" in the diagram below. Make sure the check valve is working correctly.

This may hep (thanks Wilcox!!)

How do the lights perform using the override switch below the steering column?

It fits. Hood closes.

Headlights stay up, wont go down.
I posted earlier that the check valve is bad.
Running w/o a filter until I get it sorted out.
Working on those relays and activators next.
That sheet from Wilcox is plastered to my garage wall.

I'd still separate the brake booster vac source from your headlight vac source.

Sure to add a minimum of 5hp.
Good choice. A little fire on that foam filter and you’ll need a dental pic set to get all the melted foam out.

Got the headlights working properly yesterday.

Replaced the vacuum relays, and one actuator I believe was OEM, they
now work as designed.

I used this link https://redirect.viglink.com/?format...m%2Fvacuum.htm provided by Peterbilt at CFC3tech to find the leaks.

Oh, btw, rerouted the PB cannister to the carb front port.
