Years ago the daughter of a guy my dad worked with got married. She was my age and I had known her since we were in grade school. She was three months pregnant on her wedding day. The family knew it but no one else did.
Her father, who never liked the groom, took him aside at the wedding reception and said: "If I ever hear you say you married her because you had to I'll break every fucking bone in your body." Other than that it was a very nice wedding.
