He was definitely a pilot or something other than some sort of nurse. In fact, that would’ve been his wife. She followed him over to England where he was stationed for most of the war. I found another shadow box full of his medals and I’ll post that up.

Back to the first few pics, those little things on the ribbons are oak leaf clusters, meaning how many times they got that award after the original. Something like that.

If you got a ribbon and won it 3 more times, you get those little clusters to show it

I wonder what aircraft he flew

Seems that guy did see some combat , just don't know where. Trying to find something with the Korean Conflict.

Many scenarios but maybe WW2 for most of it and jets back here in the state later on as a trainer. I dunno.
