Images question . . .
Looking through here, I did not see this question raised.
I have a zillion images posted on host sites, and also a lot here stored on the image pages. Other images I've been posting with the "Add attachment" function below this window. You have to add a period or something first, but what is frustrating is that I cannot manipulate or arrange the image(s). I can always put it below any text, but not really in the middle of text. There isn't even any code visible to move around. I see some posts with the tag being used, which I think can be manipulated. They always have 5 numbers in them, but I don't know where that comes from . . . ? Where/how is the function? The paper clip thingy is the same as the "Add attachment" mentioned above. |

There's 2 ways of attaching images here. The standard way (which you are familiar with), places the image(s) underneath your post.
The second way is called inline attaching. To do this, you upload and attach the image(s) exactly the same as you're already doing. Once attached, hit the paper clip icon again, and click on the file name you uploaded. That will insert the image (with the tag) wherever your cursor is in the reply window. Example: If you uploaded multiple images, you'll also see an "insert all" option after ticking the paperclip, which will insert all attachments wherever your cursor currently is, with a line break separating them. Once you have the tag in your post, you can obviously cut and paste that text to reposition the image(s) wherever you want within your reply (if it wasn't exactly where you wanted it to appear). |

It works! I just tried it over on OT. There's no way I would have figured that out on my own.
Thanks! |
