Default Just The Usual Wednesday

Every week with the Corvette gang, lunch on Tuesdays, clay bar sessions on Wednesdays, breakfast on Thursdays...........gawd I love being retired....

Today's session, some of the gang's cars, and one that will not buff out.

I love the results you get from a clay bar but why is it almost every time I use one I drop the damn thing in the driveway.

Week before last, I dropped two of them on the floor, just threw them away. The kits I recommend have 2 or 3 bars in it, just for that reason, plus I have some spares.

Carpel tunnel kicking in more often now, have to wear the brace if I want to sleep.

A few years ago, Turtle Wax came out with a product called Liquid Clay. Worked almost as well as a clay bar. Unfortunately, they stopped making.

I can paint cars, bodywork, etc...watching one of the resto shows on TV a guy brought in his old truck. It was factory lacquer and super thin at that. He wanted a paint correction done to make it look better, but stay original. They buffed the roof and piled on several coats of a clear lacquer over the top. It looked like a new paint job. The drawback was 2 days. labor just for the roof. You can imagine a whole truck.

You should at least clay bar and buff it

We have a local antique tractor club that I have friends as members. They do some cool restorations and then find fields to mow and plow with them.

If you will, ask your buddies what they thinks it's ballpark worth as is, it's an IH 140, don't know the year. RR tire is flat, hasn't run in 5 years. For S's & G's, may try to sell it.
Thanks.

I asked a guy in the tractor club and TRIED to explain condition vs showing pic. He said, $1200 if the tires are good...$1000 if bad. I thought they were going for more via a google search.
