Sure.... and the key part is that I went for help and have gotten rid of the prescriptions. Matter of fact, I refuse any kind of pain pill scrips. Is there a problem with that?

Unfortunately, the people who have the money control the politicians, so the politicians are beholden to them and so won't vote to make any changes like that for fear the money will dry up.
Just like every politician promises to eliminate PACs, once elected, that promise is all but forgotten.

My personal view on the gun thing is that it should be a federally administered process with mandatory background checks and only background checks. No references needed.
Having to deal with 50 different state's gun laws is ridiculous imo.
With a federal gun permit, I should be able to carry in every state.
Now, I have a Florida, NYS, and Utah permit, which allows carry in 38 states.
It is stupid to have to renew every one and pay the money to do so every few years.
A national permit would be the way to fly imo.

And what do you think should happen ??

I agree, but with the current administration that will never happen. Or it would be so restrictive as to be unobtainable. I also would not apply for anything that would require me to disclose what and how many firearms I have.

The funny thing about that, or not so funny thing, is that they already know that, (What you own).
I agree that what I own is my own business as well Once you have the permit, what you acquire should be your own business.
The unregistered ones will be found with a search warrant.
If you step out of line and deserve a search warrant to be served against you, well, all bets are off, BUT you shouldn't be prosecuted for something that they didn't know that you owned.
