Question 2 questions

First:

What is the temp when the fans should kick on without turning A/C on for my 88' ? I got stuck in traffic today and even though outside temp was 48, coolant temp got to 229 and I turned A/C on as I was thinking that was too hot. It went down pretty quick when I did it. When driving I run about 191-197 most of the time.
I have some saved thread links from the other place, but can't get onto it as apparently many can't...

Second:

How can I get some money to gamble errrrr play games? I lose my ass everytime I play, and feel like I am in an actual casino
Is it only earned from posts?

Thanks,

Larry

I'm going to be nice but, understand this is not the Corvette Forum.

L98 and LT1 run hot. You were in traffic at 48 F and coolant got to 229 and thats normal. I assume at 230-235 fans kicked in.

How can you make it run cooler?
-Hypertech chip with a 160 stat

even cooler?
-Alumunim Radiator

Even cooler?
-Not recommended

I've been here for a while and I dont have a F idea how to play a game.

Thanks, that's kind of what I was thinking. Midnight 85 also suggested the similar changes to make it run very cool too.

Try the game room..... you'll be broke too

Pete, I didn't know you had no idea how to play in the games section...I thought you were saving all that money incase its worth something someday.. If you look at the top line on this page you will see "gameroom", go into that and you can lose that money real fast. Many games to keep you busy..Now that your retired you will have time for things like this.....WW

As you can see from how much money I have, I am an expert at playing the games..

I'm dicking around with TunerPro to edit memcals (aka chips). The definitions that list variables and tables are well enough defined on the L98's and LT1's to change anything you want. Just get somebody to lower the fan on temps so it doesn't have to get to 228 degrees before they run.

It's easy enough to do yourself, but I have a chip burner at work so it is cheap for me to play. You need to buy a cable to flash LT1's, but your 88 has the "chip".

that's how I would do it...just keep a nearly stock chip and just tweak the fan temps.
