Must be up to over two dozen of them now, 3 of them this AM.....

some BS line about some legal 'action' in Tejas involving SS somehow, and so they 'think' I"m working some fraud??? I spent maybe 9-10 months in Tejas back in '70.....bried visits since....but my buddy in Fort Worth passed on some 6 years ago.....

So just what is a action with these calls?? anyone else get them???

I rarely get any spam calls to my cell, but have had two of these in the last couple months.
The wife's cell and mine have the first 9 digits the same, and the final # is off by 2.
Our phones rang within a minute of each other.

And they spoof the caller ID so it looks local.

That "legal action" robocalls been going around for many years, started 3 or 4 years ago for me. Stopped until 6 months ago again.

I've been getting those lately. I enjoy telling them the most hateful, awful things I can think of. They're Indians, or maybe Pakis. I've had several of them tell me something to the effect of, "you're not allowed to use that language or harass me, it's against our policy, etc." LOL! Really? You're calling me from overseas, trying to scam me and you're offended that I've threatened you and your family with physical harm? OK then.

I wish Trump would have gotten our military to do something useful and drone strike these scam call centers. I know we have the capability to figure out where the calls are coming from.

I used to ask the "We are Windows tech and have determined you have a virus scamers" that I was very concerned but would they please call back on my land line since my cell was by the minute. Then I gave them the number of the local FBI office.



I don't get too many spam calls on my cell but if it gets bad, I'll just set my default ring to NONE and put a ring tone on all my contacts.

We have been getting them everyday on our landline, but I signed up for NoMoreRobo (free), and the phone will ring once and hang up so it's easy to spot a bogus caller. We also don't answer our cell phone if it's not on our contact list.

I've had NoMoRobo for years, and it used to work really well, but the last 3 or 4 years, more and more calls are getting through. On the days I am home, it seems like it's about 50-50, half get the one ring brush off, half get through. It's always the Indians or Pakis, regardless of the scam.

We have not had a land line since we lived in Illinois. 95% of incoming calls were spam. When we moved to Florida we just kept our cell numbers.
Don’t answer any calls that come in from numbers not in my contacts list.
Surprisingly few actual VMs are left
