I do have colleagues (not in my department) who refuse to use computers or technology in any shape or form. There are others who refuse to upgrade from older technology as well (laserdisc and overhead anyone?).

There's been such a focus on decreasing class size, that someone forgot to check if the person teaching is actually effective, but that's another can of worms entirely.

Clinton cut the military 50% during his 2 terms, and Americans had no issues with this. Time to do the same to the rest of the Govt this American is ok with this as if military jobs are not for life the same needs to be with the rest of the govt workers.

Ok sounds like a plan ...

But one other question, with all this talk of cutting Jobs during the worst recession of our life-time, is it safe to say Republicans are OK with the Unemployment numbers going to 15%? And with all those frequent spenders out of work, I'm sure the GOP has a plan for getting revenue ... right? Because you can bet your bottom dollar those Top 2% aren't going to come to your rescue, even though you've bent over for the last decade for them.

During this downturn like all the ones in my lifetime govt workers have jobs, time cut the fat out of the entire govt, if Clinton did it, we need to do it, they can find or create new jobs, times are tough for many and time to act is now. Again we did fine with the lib hero's cuts time for more.

We have to many takers, time to start a change we can live with and stream lining the military worked it will work in the rest of govt.

If we cut govt employment and the budget by 50% we will have a budget surplus as we borrow 40% for every dollar we spend now. They can get unemployment for 6 months or find or create a job, the private sector always goes through this, time for govt workers to not have a job for life. We did ok with what Clinton did and those were govt jobs
