Default I rescued an abandoned rooster from the forest.
That’s not a metaphor.

Bicycle riders had been reporting a friendly rooster that had been dumped in the San Bernardino national forest. They began noticing him a few weeks ago.

One of the riders posted that he was really friendly. So friendly that the rooster chased him as he rode away. Literally begging to be saved 🥺 After hearing that, I just couldn’t. 😭

I was getting out of the car (after having followed a pin sent to me) thinking, “How TF am I going to find a rooster in the forest?” As I thought about that, he literally came running up to me. 😂😂😂

He is very thin. But he will be ok now. 🥹

Animal dumping is a very large problem in the national forests. People dump their dogs, cats and other animals that they no longer want.

My Uncle lives/lived on the adjacent property a quarter mile from our vacation property and raised game cocks. When we were there the roosters started at 3 or 4 in the morning. Drove my wife nuts but because going there since I was 4 it didn't bother me
