I see this as a tougher lift, though, because if the federal government allows Social Security survivor benefit for hetero couples, then they MUST allow the same benefit to two homos. It's for that reason that I support gay marriage, even though I think it's definitely corrosive to our society. Still, fair is fair.

I am all for gay marriage. It will , hopefully, help reduce the STD infection rates int he gay community. And everyone has the right to be miserable.

I agree, but I'm concerned particularly about the other issues that brings up, like adoption and however else they get their hands on kids. Of course, with the unfortunate prevalence of single parent homes, our country is kinda screwed already, even before we get to things like breastfeeding, maternity leave taking, Mayor Pete having access to kids.

It is my firm opinion that these issues are being handled NOW because the SCOTUS sees trouble on the horizon (court stuffing) and is taking care of business before it happens.

Same. I don't care who you want to marry. I will say I do believe abortions should be an option if it's health, rape, or incest related. People keep asking my view on abortions if it's rape. SCOTUS did not make abortion illegal;

they simply put it in the hands of the individual states.
All along in this country... "morals" were to be decided locally, and not nationally.
