You saying lateral support......was the driver seat/pass seat still in the upright position, or laid out flat?? my wife's seat in her little Escort had the seat laid out flat, when she was rear ended while stopped in traffic....at 45 mph, but that seat went totally flat, the back collapsed....bet same happened there and he slipped out into the rear seat, wife went under the dash and tore up her legs/hips/torso all black and blue as hell......

does make me wonder......

can't see how to get out of a seatbelt sideways.....

So how you all doing???

Amazing that with all the progress in automotive safety that Ford can't make a fail proof seat. They had that same problem 30 years ago. There is no excuse for it. A seat that breaks renders the seat belt and every airbag in the car useless.
