No.

We love Vegas, but it's not Corvette related at all. And, it's a place of a thousand interests. People would scatter, instead of loitering in the hotel parking lot - as a group (which to me is what a GTG is all about).

That doesn't mean there can't be "regional" Barn Raisings; and this Vegas one could be just that.... with additional GTG's held in different areas of the country.

I'm not opposed to a new location, always like exploring new locations. If I recall the first barn raising was in Texas, the following two years in Bowling Green. I think we can all agree that we have probably done everything there is to do in BG. Though now they have the race track up and running, there would be a new activity but not sure if that is enough to hold another gathering there.

I'm partial to being able to drive to the location, drive to different events, and enjoy each others company at the end of the day.

On a side note, I always thought it would be cool to do a rally type event. Everyone meets up in a start destination. Tour through other cities/ towns and do a different location every night.

Here is an example: Adventure Drives – Exclusive Driving Adventures

Obviously we can tag along, or maybe reach out to this, or different tour companies and see if they can put a centralized tour together specifically for us.

Maybe. It's a ways off, but I haven't been to Vegas in awhile so it might be fun.

You've already got as many no's as you have yes's, so as long as you're not structuring it like a Cruise-In or a Barn Raising. I mean, half of us don't even have Corvettes, and the last thing I want to do is stand around roasting in a parking lot with a cup of warm beer for hours on end (and I'm not schlepping lawn chairs again). So it's really just a get together and whoever shows up, shows up.

CF had (at one point) massive numbers on its side, so if a bunch of folks flaked, you'd still have a big event.

Anyway...just surfacing for a bit to put in my $.02

Vegas is not a fantastic place to be on holiday weekends. Too many Angelenos take off and head there for the weekend.

Given enough warning, I can try to make it work.

On that trip, after we got into the mountains, traffic opened up. Just past Barstow, a Lambo caught up to me and passed me, which meant "game on". Cruised around a buck twenty, a buck forty for a good while. Just after crossing in to Nevada though, the Lambo got past me as I got stuck behind some jackwagon puttering along in the left lane, at about 20 below the posted limit.
