If that were a Chevy the ask would have been double. Excellent score!

Workin' on it. That's exactly what I planned. I had a '72 Adventurer a decade ago and let it get away. When I bought it those white spoke wheels were on it but the guy told me he had the originals, too, if I wanted them. I put them back on in the first week.Name: my pictures 062.jpg

Put a 12 valve Cummins in it and let the tire smoke out!

This one has the 3.9 v6. The slant had 105 hp stock. The 3.9 is 180 hp. No fire breathin' dragon but a lot more than the 225.
The '72 I had previously was a factory 318 2v. When I got it a 360 4v crate motor rested there. With the stock 3.25 gear it would pass everything but a gas station!

We are redoing our house so the truck was what I needed. Had several vans before, too, and considered another. While they have their advantages I opted for the truck. Can't haul a fridge in a van.

Hey!It's thirty years old!

I did at least want something with power steering/brakes, auto (arthritis in both feet) and ac. Electronic ignition and fuel injection makes drivability easier.

Negative on the trim pieces, but looking. I'm not a fan of the big mirrors either. I may swap them if I can find some that will bolt into the same spots or at least cover the other holes up.

I was actually looking for an F150 or C10/Silverado but couldn't pass this one up.

That looks pretty good for a 30 year old truck. I bet it will clean up nice with a little elbow grease!

I cant say I ever known somebody to add inexpensive HP to an early V6.
That is; if "inexpensive" and "HP" can be said when ordering.
I wonder how many parts are available.

I hear ya; first thing I did with the 67 GTO was replace the entire suspension and add disc brakes at all 4 corners.

Thing was almost scary to drive at highway speeds.

Got the trim piece for the front fender ordered today off ebay for $40. I found two offered for the rear quarter. $100 an $125. Ouch. Hoping to find it a little cheaper but it is a limited market.
Also found a weather stripping kit with the window felts, glass runs, and door weatherstrips for $99.95. That will get a lot of the rattles quiet.
Still shopping for hubcaps. They ain't cheap..

Yep, I saw it. '84 model with an alleged 59k original.
I found this one on MP. It was in Dalton (Villanow, actually) and started out at $5k, dropped to $4k after a week. He said he was wanting to sell to fund a newer truck purchase. I offered $3k and a couple days later they PM'd me and I got it.

I cut a lot of firewood in Villanow, when I was young. There was an old country store at the 4-way stop everyone would stop in there. No fast food places, stores, etc...you got whatever was left on the shelves to stave off hunger...potted meat, crackers, cheese (cut from a hoop), Beanie Weenies, and a bottle of RC or Coke.

A lot of civil war relics came out of there.

I still drink RC. Rita told me when our grandson Conner was four he was likely the only four year old that knew what RC Cola was.

Did it have drums on the front? With those things, you automatically knew you would be steering the car one way or the other when you hit the brakes. I have driven more than one car back in the day that wanted to ditch dive every time you mashed the pedal.
