what ya got? if i dont drink myself to sleep, i just cant do it. advil PM, tylenol PM, generic PM...nada.

I got nothing since I'm battling the same thing. Bad. Even did the sleep study thing. Non conclusive.

Two Benadryl tablets, generically sold as Allergy Relief, etc. Only lasts four hours. takes about 30 min to one hr to go to sleep. Very cheap. I buy a bottle of 200 tablets for 8-10 bucks at the grocery store.

Lots of reasons for potentially poor sleep quality.
A few popular issues contributing to poor sleep; in no particular order.

Stress
High starch/sugar intake before bed
Exercise within 4 hrs of going to bed
Lack of exercise
Alcohol - even 1 beer will disrupt deeper sleep (stage 3+)
Watching tv or being on the computer before bed

That's what I got for now. There have been periods of my life where I got less than 4 hours a night for weeks on end and it is insane.

Always had trouble finding the "off" switch before bed.

Sorry to hear that brutha. I spent years in the sleepless ruts.
Not sure why I've been sleeping better the last few years other than a combination of things.

I've been eating better foods, less alcohol, and exercising more. Not in the gym, I can't stand 'em. I think exercise should be had while you're having some fun like biking, skiing, boating, walking/jogging etc.

I also have made peace with some of the sheit that kept me up at night. That's probably the hardest thing to do on this entire list.

Life has a way of knockin' when I'm trying to relax or drift off....

Search "Sleep Hygiene" on the Google O' Tron.

I'm a pro at not sleeping. I did the sleep study too. Nuthin'.

I take Ambien, Xanax and Temazapam each night and sometimes still can't fall asleep. That cocktail would knock out a horse.

I wake up as a zombie and it takes about fifteen minutes to shake it off. And some delicious brains. But after that, I'm good to go.

It's a handful of downers for sure and I'm certain it ain't doing me any good but I do sleep some.

Try Melatonin. I've used it for yrs. and it always makes me sleepy and keeps me asleep.

30mg does absolutely nothing for me. Tried all of the prescription meds with little luck.

I'm used to three or four hours a night.
