What ever happened to..
Black lacquer furniture? That stuff was the sh!t back in the 90's.

It's still pretty popular at places like IKEA. I just picked up some black furniture for my son there and it looks pretty nice.
Overall, you wouldn't want to paint a nice hardwood like oak or cherry in black. A lot of furniture that is made of MDF (aka particle board) is painted in black. Good for kids and for the dorm. |

Just finished kitchen center island in black...goes great with bl/stainless appliances. Even blw/white checkerboard kitchen floors are back in...1950's look ???
