Wouldn't it be cheaper to just get RPM Transmissions to build you one? Send them your core and get new shit? What's the labor rate on the rebuild? I like modular fixes. That's they only way I can rebuild my own damn car.

This is what is happening. Just like RPM, RTK is a reknowned Corvette transmission builder. Dude was a 23 year Corvette tech for GM. Plus I have any issues, it’s local. RPM is in N.Carolina.

Sweet. Scott speaks highly of him. My tranny was rebuilt, but my diff was a swap. Install the new and send back the old. Don't ever ask me to look inside them, cuz I'm clueless, but send me the entire unit and I can install it.

A few years ago I stopped in the local heating oil supplier to check bulk oil pricing. The guy I talked to said they spent a week in Italy instead of their usual week in Cape May NJ.

So engine time. Pesky radiator out of the way. Can’t find my fuel line disconnect tool. so off to the store. Beautiful day here. I have a new favorite tool. This thing compresses radiator hose clips like a boss. Also looks like I’m going to have to take my headers off.

Stage 2 complete. The GM tech manual missed a couple of items- not hard,just annoying. She heads to the engine shop Friday.

Thanks man, curious as to what you had there.....but I been using slip joint angle pliers for many decades and on total tear downs, mods/etc....I use hose clamps.....even 3 of them on the latest a/c condenser mod....
