Found out last night kid we played against in baseball will be joining the Cubs. He was a hell of a pitcher and a nice kid. My son got a double against him once (admitted it was luck afterwards), seldom did anyone reach base on this kid. He struck out the other 20 times he saw him, that kid threw a mean breaking ball and good curve.
Just so happens that I am a Cubs fan so maybe I'll get to see him in the bigs one day.

Graduates HS tomorrow, I let him pick out grub for cookout. He was like a kid at a candy store at the meat counter. That boy ain't ever met a sammich he'd pass up that's for sure. He needs a shirt that says " You gonna eat that".

Both of our boys were athletes, but neither were gifted with height, and one was always super skinny no matter how hard he worked out, think Unique Doug. He would eat 12 eggs for breakfast and protein smoothies with 1/2 C of peanut butter for a snack. Poor kid hated being lanky. He filled out nicely as an adult and is glad he isn't a "fat dad" now.

Don’t ya pull the yankee card on me ya transient. Bacon is one of the basic food groups for me. If I get it on a donut more power to me.

- alcohol
- bacon
- Bloody Mary’s (for veggies)

Totally sucks outside this morning, flea farts for wind and nice soupy air. Dog didn't want to stay outside.

Think I'll find something inside to do.

Improved. We had a hellish storm system come through here, dumped 6 inches of rain yesterday. I swear my body senses the barometric pressure changes. It was my sciatica in my back acting up causing the shooting pain. Better now that it has passed through. Thanks for asking.

Beautiful morning, 65 right now, just did a short bike ride with the pup. Took awhile to train him to heeling next to the bike, but he is a champ now! Great way to get his energy down since we can't fetch (his fetching yard was flooded yesterday). MORE rain on the way today


He prefers to go all out and run like a thoroughbred, he is gunning to go.....
