Back in the early 70s I had a Honda 550. Did a little to it (bars, pegs,seat and sissy bar.)

Had to borrow a acetylene tank(B size) and torch for a weekend project. I lived about 5 miles from the job site! Tied a tank onto the sissy and the bottom was on the seat back. Coming home I got pulled over by a state trooper. He wanted to know about the tank. (I had a statement signed by my boss on company letterhead that I could use the outfit)

He looked it over, I had it very well lashed down. He then said well I think what you are doing is legal but just! Be carefully and perhaps take the tank back with your pick up truck..
