GM injection '92 F body..speed density....
I have a '72 355 roller cam L98 with aluminum heads and a speed density computer, 1227730 and aftermarket chip/programming module that's been in the car for years....modified LT1 induction with HEI up top in back....
I have had a fit over the last couple of years, swapping injectors around trying to find the damn miss...so I finally got disCUSSted and ordered another injector set....China of course, and with a warning that computer may need reprogramming.....great....but it's got closed loop and so should not have an issue with learning some changes, 24 lbs flow on injectors.... so I install them yesterday and the engine runs FAR SMOOTHER, better in all respects EXCEPT now it hunts at idle....instead of a nice even ~650 rpm it's hunting from the 800 rpm region out of gear.....IN GEAR it settles down to ~700 rpm steady on, happy as a clam, and takes off without hesitation and pulls smooth through the RPM's..... INT is supposed to be 128.....it's running 108 by my tester BLM is supposed to run 122 it's 100 but still at level 4...... I have tried fuel pressure adjustments all over the map that the stock L98 regulator will adjust to.....runs around 35 psi..... the above INT/BLM are at idle /neutral..... |

Lt1 with 24 lbs injectors was close to 50 lbs of fuel pressure if I recall right.

OH WELL, so today around noon, on way home with it running like shit, I turned off the commuter/commerical road into the burb by about 1/8 mile and engine died, no restart.....towed home into garage....thank YOU AAA and so I spend a couple hours searching my own wiring, and finally going to the paper work I made for whoever got the car, but now needing it because my memory over some 15++ years is faded.....damnit......so I finally found the root of the problem, took TWO hours....damnit.......
