So, this pissed me off...

My daughter asked me to go to target with her, to help her pick out a new comforter. No problem, I had some stuff of my own to get.

We pick up a few things walking the the store, before we get to the area where the comforters are. Ok, probably a dozen things, but...whatever.

The comforters were in what could be considered a main aisle. Not wanting to be an asshole, we put our cart behind us, in a side aisle. We find a down comforter...added it to the cart. Picked out a duvet cover...added it to the cart.

We're walking around trying to find the comforter clips, which keep the comforter in place. Couldn't find them. No big deal...we'll order them on Amazon.

As we're shopping, we see a woman also shopping in the same aisles. Incidental, but important later.

We go to look for our cart, which I just put right behind us, right? Can't find it. The whole time, Caitlin and I are taking out loud like...wtf happened to our cart? Laughing about it. But talking about it out loud as we walk back and forth near this woman that is shopping.

I walk down an aisle and see the comforter we picked out, along with the duvet cover, thrown on the ground. WTF...??? I look around. Where is the rest of our stuff?

Caitlin says, "I think that woman took our cart." I'm thinking...no fu(king way did this woman take our cart without asking...and then walk around with it...with ¾ of our stuff in it...as she overhears us talking about trying to find it, right?

Wrong.

I pick up the comforter and cover off the ground. I see the "oh fuuuuuuuck" grin appear on Caitlin's face as I start walking aisle to aisle to find this bitch. She was only two aisles over.

I walk up and say, "Excuse me," like three times because she's ignoring me and trying to walk away. Finally, she turns around and tell her that she took our cart...and all our stuff. She shrugs and says she didn't know. Doesn't offer to give it back, or even give us our stuff out of it. Again, she just shrugs and says she didn't know.

Me: (After a deep breath) You didn't know? With all the stuff in it? With us walking around visibly searching for it? You didn't know?
Her: ***blank stare***
Me: Can we please have our cart and stuff back?
Her: ***blank stare***
Me: (Pause and stare) Give me the fu(king cart.

She took her two items out of the cart, revealing all of our stuff still there, minus the comforter and duvet cover, which she tossed on the ground.

Even if she had offered to give us our stuff out of the cart, that would've been better than nothing.

One day after work, I stopped a home depot to get some decking lumber. It took me probably an hour to sort through the poor wood to get acceptable boards. It was a cart full. I moved my cart away from the wood stacks and then walked away to get some screws or something. Came back and my whole damn cart with the lumber was missing. I had not checked out yet.

As I was leaving the store, I saw two bastards loading their truck with decking lumber. I could not prove it was that lumber I had sorted. I was pissed!

In retrospect, I should have at least walked up to them and ask them did they just take that loaded cart/
