Anyone have any experience in cancelling/deleting over at the bad place?

I don't think I'll ever want to go back, and if things do happen to change, I'll just start fresh anyway. Anyone gotten them to nuke your account, nuking all the post history too?

From what I remember they will not do those things! They will give you a permanent lock if you ask for it.

I couldn't PM anybody because my 'message box was full'. So I deleted 9 years worth of messages, many of them from now banned members, and I still can't send or get PM's. Trying to get Two Smoke to come over here, but can't PM him. It's a really dead, G-rated bore-fest over there anyway. Not worth the bother.

Ya got an open mind there, Willie, and as Martha Stewart would say... "that's a good thing". The JW's are very aware of their opposition and so are the Mormons. I have had many firsthand experiences with both groups and can conclude that they raise very respectful children and don't cause damage to property and persons. That, in my book, is a good thing. As for belief systems, I have my own and don't impose them on anyone else-only jokingly in some cases.

I don’t know about the current regime over there but I recall the member Flatbush Harry had decided to run for public office and I believe he had his posts scrubbed.
