I stopped hunting years ago for no particular reason. However, I do remember that speed limit signs were just right for a single guy.

Grew up hunting small game and fishing. A favorite tale of mine is telling when my ex first ate dinner at my house. After the meal she told me that she didn't want to put down my mom's cooking but the beef stew wasn't very good. That is when I told her that it was because it was rabbit, squirrel and pheasant. I still remember how to skin and butcher lots of small game critters. Remember what PETA stands for; People Eating Tasty Anmals.

I like meat to much to ever be a vegetarian. And I like deer meat so each fall me and my friends take off work to go deer hunting.

I imagine this thread would have a different spin on the Prius forum.

I prefer being removed from the process thank God for supermarkets.

That being said, I dated a guy in college who bow-hunted, said he was going to bring one back to his apartment for us to partake of thankfully he was unsuccessful that day.

Unfortunately, he made us frozen chicken nuggets, canned corn, and mashed potatoes out of a box for dinner instead.

No problem (3 shots, 100 yards)...and I know how to skin them too. I like my elk, venison, pronghorn and bear steaks rare.

I'd probably starve to death. I live in the city and I've never even seen a hamburger, taco or pizza roaming in the wild.

Takes a lot of knowledge and skill to be a successful hunter. Wild animals are very good at avoiding predators, that's what they do for a living, and they have the home field advantage. Most people would starve if they had to pick up a gun and go live off the woods. There are people walking around who've hunted every deer season for decades and never killed one. The most deer I ever got in a 2 week season was 6 but there have been seasons where I got skunked so bad I only saw a couple animals... Or none at all.
so...how was the skunk?

I can't believe you had to ask the country people that. I'll kill it, field dress it, hang it up, quarter it, etc. I'd shoot your F'ing cat and eat it if it came between me starving and not.
