Default Fast Charley Speed Shop Pics

Cruise night in Chattanooga. The BEST part was the old Honest Charley speed shop and museum was open. Corky Coker (Coker Tires) owns and re-opened the speed shop. It was a booming mail order biz. from the 50s-70s. Corky has a great collection of cars and bikes. I love the original ones with patina

Thanks for posting the pics, looks like a good place to be. I can still remember the Honest Charley catalog, in fact I'm sure I bought out of it.

Gotta go there. I remember as a kid, Charley hisself would drive his 57 t-bird down to Birmingham to the racetrack on Sundays.

Great pictures Jerry, thanks for posting them. My 56 Belair rag would look right at home in that collection.

Any chance some of those cars used to be on display at the old Great Race Museum in Granbury, Texas? There are several that look familiar.

Very well could be. I intended to go over and look at the windshield sticker on a couple of them. Then my attention span went south lol I remember one of the races started or went right by the store a few yrs. ago. They also came roaring through my town. It was a sight to see those BIG cars blasting down the road. People don't realize how large those early cars really are, until you see them in person.

Nice pictures. Thanks for sharing. I remember Honest Charley. I may have bought some stuff from them back in the day.
