Default Actual C4 Question

Happy Friday gents

Now that Pa temps have finally climbed into the 40's, summer is officially here.
I have to swap out some interior parts to freshen it up a bit.
New carpet, new shifter boot, shoot some interior dye (red) on same black parts, etc.

My buddy had a nice steering wheel on his C5 that had red inserts sewn in, and it looked pretty nice.
Mid America sells these wheels for the C4, but was wondering if you guys have and other preferred companies to check with.
I have been out of the loop for a while, so any info you have is appreciated.
PK

Pete take the idea to your local upholstery shop. Those guys can do everything. Do your math, and see which way is more cost effective.

Hi Pete,
There aren't many places to get the 2 tone wheels except Mid America, but have you thought about getting a wheelskin to go over your existing wheel.. I put one on my 89 and really like it..Most people can't tell its a cover unless I tell them and there only $43.95 for the 2 tone cover.......WW

Pete K, notice how everyone falls apart when you ask a real question.... We aren't use to that.....

Wayne, the Wheelskin looks pretty good for a cover. How does it install? It looks like it stitches on.

I have a wheelskin on my car and I like it. It does have to be laced on and it takes a while to do it but it is well worth it IMO. No needles involved as in stitching and the thread is waxed so it really pulls tight.

Now that is dummy proof right there, but 99.9% of liberals would call you for instructions.

Bill, you put the cover over the wheel , get it straight , and stitch it on over your old wheel.. It's really pretty easy but it took my about an hour to do...Midnight85 says there's no needle, but if Im remembering correctly, I used a curved "blunt point" needle to pull the waxed stitching through the holes..This really is a great alternative to getting a $350.00 steering wheel.. I've had mine on for 5 years and it looks as good now as when I put it on.....Friz may have a better alternative with having the wheel recovered.....WW

Yes John we know. I will never forget your help during my floor mat installation. I was going nutz, and your email with detailed instructions assisted me on the installation that lasted almost two hours.

I documented everything in case anyone would not believe this story.

I see your problem Pete. Those were back seat floor mats.
