FWIW, I have a friend that was employed by Patrick Swayze as his personal pilot, these were the years leading up to his sickness and death.

My friend had nothing but praise for Patrick and his wife. They were exceptionally good employers and people and very kind to my friend. Patrick allowed my friend personal use of his airplane on more than one occasion, all expenses paid.

He loved the guy.

He always came across as a decent dude. The Swayze was awesome!

They built them for the movie! They shot the bulk of "Dirty Dancing" near where I grew up in Va at Mountain Lake. It is off Rt. 460 near Blacksburg (Home of VT). They used a bunch of classic cars from the area that in the movie. It was big news back then.
