As to min-bans, color me surprised. A pal on the CF was chastised with a warning about quoting me (a perma banned guy) as "proxy posting a banned member". WTF ?

When I was still active over in tech before I got banned, I mentioned your wiring diagram upgrade for a C-1 and got chastised for using the 'F' word (Frank). After I got my ban a bit later for using the 'W' word, I haven't posted on the C1 C2 tech forums.

I'm a huge TLB fan. Walt B. had the original camera car and ran a website for yrs., about it. He later sold it at B-J. They are doing a new low budget film about Richard Ruth who built the cars for the movie. He also had a cameo in the original. They guy with the 'Glendale Speed Shop' t-shirt with Fred Flintstone on it - that's him.

The car also appeared briefly in an episode of Adam-12.

Some of it was filmed not far from me in the GA/TN mountains.

Don't get me started on TLB. I'm a cult fanatic about it.

I agree. One of my favorite movies, and absolutely as gritty as the times. That '55 was used in American Graffiti as well.

Some more trivia: Von Dutch built the '1904 Winton' for the film The Reivers with Steve MacQueen starring (1967-69?) and the Leslie Special, built for the film 'The Great Race' in 1964 was painted and later used in The Battle of Cable Houge shot in 1970. You can see "Lesle Special" on the radiator as it runs over Jason Robards near the end of the film. We should start a cult movie thread. Keep us both out of trouble, or me at least!

It's just that in the past month or so, I've seen Yadkin call someone a 'Karen' totally out of the blue, when nobody else has even used the word in weeks.

I made an agreement not to call him Karen or Yadkaren. I'm sticking to that agreement even though, as you know, he has not held up his end of our agreement.
