And while most of you will likely continue to post over there (no reason you shouldn't), over time, I predict that this will become the "go-to" site for folks to meet and have fun.

They've lost sight of who made the forum what it was. Jesse seems to think that you can run an online community the way you run IBM: Long, tedious, corporate style messages filled with so-called "directives." It's as if an 8-year-old set up a card table in front of his house to sell lemonade and then sends his mom a memo telling her he needs more lemons. In his zeal to make himself sound so very important, he talks down to and demeans the very people he depends upon to keep the site active. I can't help but believe that IB would stand by while this happens. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think so. Jim is just arrogant beyond belief.

Craig and Phil: Your participation here is more than welcomed and very much appreciated. I hope a thank you and our sincere gratitude will do for now, because we're already starting to see database errors because of all the new people and we may have to invest in some hardware soon.

I single-handedly crashed Corvette Forum in 2005, which by then was well established, with the datawiz quiz. I can crash your Forum by sneezing.

the original was one Liz (oyeliz) posted about a fun party she attended, she got tossed for including a pic of Iron Chef (you can read her thread here about all this, do a search). the follow on thread noted above described the party that 'never' happened...funny in context.

I've gotten the whole story from many pieces, and players, all put together. Your conversation with Jesse was an eye opener, and only further bolsters my support of Mike, Liz, and this site.

My $11,000 donation that year got questioned and the NCM got really pissed and jealous that I was raising money for St. Jude and not them. Most all of which was done before anyone even set foot in Kentucky. Reading your dialog with Jesse really brings to light some issues. His protectionism of his sacred cow at the expense of others has really turned me off.

Like I said, I raised several hundred dollars for NCM by potentially sacrificing my Z06. In the end, my interpretation of this whole cluster **** is that people got jealous and either wanted a cut or didn't want to lose their cut.

I've never been a prolific poster at either CFOT, here, BCF, etc., but I've seen enough at CFOT to realize that moderation is neither even handed or consistent. That being said, once I get my '65 up here and doing work on it, I will rely on the C2 section there simply because it seems the older generation forums are actually good there (at least until they ran Lars (not at the beach) off). I know Skia doesn't want me e-mailing him 15 times a week for help.
