Unfortunately, HONEST dealers get screwed.. They list the cars at the actual price and list their available discounts separately while dishonest and misleading dealerships will advertise cars at a price that virtually nobody can get and their cars will show up cheaper than the honest dealerships that is not [trying to rip off people with their fake prices.

I believe that you got a bug up your bottom because you drove a couple hours to look at EV cars and you were not happy with the dealership pricing.
And because of this you believe that there should be legislation to dictate how cars are advertised. I hope that you realize that this position is very liberal and it’s exactly why we have so many stupid regulations. It’s always because someone was offended or upset because life is not fair and the government sees to make it more fair.

Everyone pays the same price for the same car.
Everyone has only one car choice, I think this was done in a country in europe in the 1930s.
The mileage estimate may not matter, as you have no other options.
The mileage estimate may be wrong, but who cares, everyone gets screwed equally.

Doing such is a HUGE DEPARTURE from capitalism.
The gov sets rules, businesses follow the rules, when they do not they pay a price, to the extent they may go out of business.
If you do not like the system of rule, get elected and move to dc.
While no system is perfect, ours is most perfect for me.

Hell even as kids we knew this. I remember the days of dealership ads in the newspapers before the internet. You’d see a car price and it almost always had the asterisk.

Businesses have been charging more at peak times since business began. Some freeways have "Lexus Lanes" that charge more during periods of peak congestion. Got a big college football game in town this weekend? Guess what - the hotels are going to charge more. It's called "supply and demand" - perhaps you've heard of it.

On the plus side, if you go to Wendy's duing the lunch rush you won't have to wait as long for your food because all the people who are butthurt about congestion pricing will all be eating at Burker King.

Let me see if I have this straight: If a person is of "Low IQ", the government should somehow prevent people with higher IQs from making more money on a deal, entered into willingly by both parties, with a lower IQ person than someone of the same IQ level?

Where does that end, what are the limits? I like to think I have an "above average" IQ, so say mine is 105. The government is expected to prevent someone with a 150 IQ from making more money off of me than someone with an IQ of 130? Are people with 120 IQs supposed to have some sort of government "guardian angel" to protect them from the 150 IQ folks? What if my IQ is 125, and the sellers is 130, what happens then?

Maybe it sounds sad, but the reality is that no one can save someone from themselves, and stupid SHOULD hurt.

To say NOTHING of experience, which is a great teacher. I have been trading options for almost 30 years, and one of the lessons I learned in my first year was "when you make a stupid trade, there will ALWAYS be a smarter and/or more experienced trader there who is happy to take your money". Did I ever bitch that the government should have stepped in to prevent that? No.

Still irrelevant. Tesla followed the EPA guidelines for range testing. That's what matters. If Tesla stayed within the rules of Testing, there is no issue.

Actually, loyalty rewards are fantastic. I would have a problem if they would take the loyalty rebate off all advertised cars and when you agree to purchase the vehicle, it removes the loyalty discount if you are not already a Tesla owner. That would be misleading and sleazy.
