Been there, done that. I worked for McGraw-Hill Education for 10 years, under 5 different Presidents. My job got eliminated when private equity bought the Education segment, and gutted it. At about 6 years in, I saw it coming, so I was well prepared. Many were'nt.

That's what happened at my last company. Owners sold it to an investment firm. First thing they did was replace everyone at the top, including my boss, the CEO.

When he was first introduced to the senior management team he gave a big speech about how awesome he was and he said "All my employees like to follow me around and work for me wherever I go."

That did not sound good to me. Then I noticed the VP Finance at his previous company kept checking out my LinkenIn profile.

Less than two months after he started I got called into the boardroom and told how awesome I was but that he was letting me go so he could bring in his own Finance guy.

Pretty shitty to fire someone for no reason. But I guess that's how business works these days. No loyalty.

When the company I used to work for was bought out, we were all pulled together to hear a speech about how we are a successful company and the way we operate is what sealed the deal and how nothing will be changing. That is the exact moment that I knew everything was changing.

One company I worked at had well let's say alot of people who didn't know how to do their jobs and wasn't hard to make them look bad at all. Pretty much not being a complete idiot was head and shoulders above most. Head boss was TDY covering another region for a few months and the shitbag left to run stuff decided to fuk with me nonstop, didn't end well for him when I called above him and threatened to quit(wasn't a threat i meant it) and since I was running an extensive training program with a waiting list he was told to leave me be. He was pissed from years prior when he insisted everything was setup but nothing worked. When he wouldn't listen to experience the boss had to get involved as it was a super high priority everything had to work as new contract was at stake. I tried not being a dick but failed miserably when he got snotty about it. I had already been called away from my work to fix his shit then gave me shit about it. Told him not my call if he didn't want my help I'd let the boss know. He got his pee pee slapped and hard and was a constant dick to me after that. That's ok I got him sent on an emergency run to a shithole dealing with a major asshole customer. Lol. I stuck him with the biggest idiots we had every chance I could.
