If you can swing it, do both the European delivery and Performance delivery. While it takes some coordination, it is possible.

There are multi-page advice threads on a lot of Bimmer forums about Euro delivery; how-to's, places to go, things to do, etc...from people who have done so. They are a good read!

Then have it shipped to Spartansburg SC and do the Perf delivery where you get to drive all their cars on their track. There is also a factory tour.

Been wanting to do so myself with the last couple of my Bimmers but a lot of dealerships here don't want to take the time to make the arrangements, so they heavily discount the car instead. Has been hard to say no to those deals

Cayenne and I agree. Porsche is high on my list right now. Friend of mine bought the cayenne, sold it a week later and bought the cayenne gts, sold it 2 months later and just bought a 911.

Plus, I can’t tell you have many porche there are in my new neighborhood. Seems that we have our own German auto club right here.

Having owned a BMW 6 series and gotten the chance to drive their cars and tracks in Spartanburg, I'd HIGHLY recommend it if you can swing a perf center delivery.
