Got great ticket for the Phillies game 9-23-21

Mary wanted to go back down to Citizens Bank Park to see another Phillies game and to get pictures of her with her Front Line Heroes banner.

I asked my boss if any of his contacts had a couple extra tickets I could purchase. To say Jon came through would be a bit of an understatement.

We got tickets from another business owner for us. Directly behind home plate in the 8th row. Reserved parking. $30 food voucher with each ticket. We "may" be on TV depending on the camera angle ( I'll hide to let Mary have the limelight )

We're both working a half day and getting to the ball park early. Pics to follow

The tickets included parking and we parked in section "K" which is directly across the street from the Home Plate entrance.

We parked and went to the 3rd base corner where Mary's banner is displayed. I got a few pictures of her and we saw a few of Philadelphia's Finest ( counter terrorism squad ) just down from us. We asked if they could use my camera to get a few pictures of Mary and I in front of the banner and they were more than happy to help out. Nice group of guys.

Had the tickets scanned to get in and then to get to the Diamond Club, they were scanned again. Went down the steps to the level and each of us got a wrist band.

Had dinner inside before the game ( $30 on each ticket for food, drink or merchandise). Mary had the burger and I had the crab cake sandwich. EXCELLENT We were seated directly next to a window over looking the Phillies batting practice. Players we recognized were Bryce Harper, JT Realmuto, Brad Miller, Segura, Hererra, McClutchen and Gregorius.

Went to our seats about 20 minutes before the game started. Nice rendition of our National Anthem.

Half way thru the top of the 1st inning it started misting. By the end of the first , a light rain which continued throughout the entire game. We stayed in out seats ( section D, row 8 seats 1 &2 ) for the first three innings. Then back into the Diamond club to watch the rest in comfort.

Phillies won 12-6 after a DISASTEROUS 2nd inning (5-0 Pirates)

Not too many pictures as I really didn't want to soak my Nikon camera.
