we found an article from May that discusses recent developments that may be on point. she's going to look into getting a 2nd opinion after the PET scan on the 16th.

Second and third opinions are always a good idea.

Is it possible to find a scan appointment more quickly if you travel to a larger city elsewhere in the country?

Very sad to hear the news Doug. I am really looking forward to the good news that could come from this.
Buddy of mine was diagnosed with late stage pancreatic cancer a year ago and is now in remission.
Technology has come a long way the last 10 years.

This is one of the main reasons I donate platelets and plasma,.... for cancer patients....I feel so bad for you getting this news but we all know people that have kicked its ass good and Laurie and I will pray she will be on the winners list. My blood type is A+ CMC- if you can use any direct donations let me know,the doctors have set it up before

Paully (73SBvert) has visited us, so he's met Linda.

she is a few years older than me, so while unexpected, it is not surprising in some sense. her father died of the same cancer many years ago.

as I noted, we'll keep pursuing options and opinions, but if those don't pan out, we will enjoy everyday together (as we have done for the past 19 years).
